Through the generous support of ICBM members, a record amount was raised for the Debate Minnesota Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. The 2005 Silent Auction raised 50 percent more funds than in previous years, and donated items were up 42 percent. These generous contributions help the Foundation move closer to its goal: to be in more places and cover more races in 2006. With continued support, the Debate Minnesota Foundation can continue to elevate an important public program and the mission of returning civility to the election process while renewing interest in our communities and civic leaders.
